These are very comfortable running/walking shoe and great all-around house shoe. This pair was recommended for my plantar fasciitis, and they do help more than my usual New Balance 990s.

Super comfortable

I was told by the salesman that a 10.5 wide was the right shoe for me when I have never worn higher than a 9.5 my whole life. Currently a 9.5 wide, I might wear a 10 if the 9.5 isn't available in a wide. When I said 10.5 wide wouldn't work, 10 wide was suggested. Again, I've never worn that either. The 10w was also too big, so we dropped to a 10 regular, which was very comfortable in the store. They are no longer comfortable, and one shoe slips, but once you wear them, you're stuck with them. I contacted the store, and they suggested I come in so they could "fix" it. My guess is that a 9.5 wide was probably right to begin with or that a Brooks would have been a better move. I would have gone back in, but since they started by recommending the wrong size twice, the overall experience has cast doubt in my mind, so I just won't do business there anymore. I took a chance on $230 shoes and regret it, sadly. No bitterness, I left the store happy but now have a sour taste about them, so I will just go back to buying my shoes at Scheels or ordering online from stores with easier return policies. I rarely return shoes, but I see no reason to go back to the Heel.
