I have been wearing these Birks since the day they arrived. I've been wearing them without socks because the shearing liner is so warm. Socks do work as well. I'm usually a true 8.5 and the narrow 39 works great with and without socks. Suede was a little stiff but the more I wear, the softer it gets. Totally in love with these clogs!
